Tsultrims Death

On Thursday, April 12

Something unbelievable and harrowing has happened. On Thursday night one of the nuns from here died in a horrific bus accident on the way to Dharamsala to renew the refugee papers. She was one of about 6 people who died there at the site. (Later the deathtoll rose to 30 people.)

It is hard.

Since Ponlop's mother's death, there was an elated and high-spirited atmosphere. Hers was such a good death, wich is just as great and important as a good life, of course!

But with Tsultrim, the treasurer of the nuns, it was a terrible accident. She had even had warning dreams and premonitions beforehand to the point of mentioning, that she might not return.

However SHE DID NOT TRUST HERSELF BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT 100%SURE!! -

Her family is in Tibet. She was alone here and had most probably not been home for many years. She was one of the best scholars among the nuns, if not the best.

It is very hard. It felt, as if this little refugee community is not even given a few days of grace, the grace that spread thanks to the good life and passing of Ponlop Rinpoches mother. It was, as if the grim reality of the refugee-life wanted to brutally re-enter the orbit.

All the refugees have to renew their papers every year!
If only she would not have needed to go there!
